The TripleFire unit is designed to allow the firing of 3 pyro outputs, with a 4 channel spread spectrum radio.
The TripleFire is a radio control interface that provides 3 pyro channels. For use with spread spectrum radios only, the unit has dual safety lockouts. A dedicated ENABLE channel, and G-switch circuit (hybrid safe) both allow firing only when intended.
Typical uses include airstart, staging, and recovery system activation. Patch cables (4" stock or custom lengths available) to connect the receiver are included. Outputs are switched with 10A smartFETs (short circuit proof).
A 105dB beeper is slaved to ENABLE for testing. The receiver is powered by the board, no extra battery is rqrd.
Suggested radios are the Spektrum DX7, DX6i, or similar spread spectrum transmitters with programmable toggle switches. Use of joysticks on low cost radios can also allow control (NO 72Mhz). Radio must be "full range", not "backyard flier" (700'), and have dual rcvr tech. Use the $25 Hobbyking single receiver radios at your own risk.

This second flight had some cato's in the ring of "I" motors on the booster, sending the whole rocket tumbling out of control.
It would have crashed, but thanks to the TripleFire, he immediately fired the parachutes, saving the bird. This demonstrates the value of real time control of your pyro charges.
